Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists in Pregnancy: Periconception Exposure and Perinatal Outcomes.
Early data suggests unplanned exposure to diabetes drugs during pregnancy doesn't show clear safety problems, easing some treatment concerns.
An increasing number of women of childbearing age worldwide are using glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and are advised to use effective contraception during treatment. Current observational data have not identified a clear safety signal associated with inadvertent periconceptional exposure to GLP-1 RAs.
